About
Zerodynamix is an independent computational fluid dynamics consultancy delivering rigorous aerodynamic analysis, model development, and design optimisation for aerospace clients. The company was founded and is led by Dr. J.P.S. Sandhu, who holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Madras and brings over a decade of research and industry experience in high-speed CFD.
Our work spans the full range of aerospace CFD challenges — from first-principles transition modelling and passive flow control to surrogate-based multi-objective optimisation of complex intake geometries. We combine deep domain knowledge with a rigorous, publication-backed approach that goes beyond running off-the-shelf solvers.
About the Founder
Dr. Jatinder Pal Singh Sandhu holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Madras (advisor: Dr. Santanu Ghosh) and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Kurukshetra (2015). His doctoral research focused on laminar-to-turbulent transition modelling for high-speed flows, producing publications in AIAA Journal, Computers & Fluids, and Shock Waves.
After completing his Ph.D., he worked as a Senior R&D Engineer (CFD) at Yanxiki Tech before founding Zerodynamix to offer independent specialist consulting to aerospace clients worldwide.
He is the lead developer of FEST-3D, an open-source structured CFD solver published in the Journal of Open Source Software, and co-authored Computational Design and Optimization of Supersonic Intakes (Routledge / CRC Press, 2025) alongside Dr. Ik Soo Park and Dr. N. Ananthkrishnan.

What Sets Us Apart
Research-backed expertise. Our methods are grounded in peer-reviewed work published in AIAA Journal, Computers & Fluids, Shock Waves, and the Journal of Open Source Software. When we apply a model, we understand its derivation, its limits, and how to validate it.
Authoritative publication. In November 2025, Dr. Sandhu co-authored Computational Design and Optimization of Supersonic Intakes (Routledge / CRC Press, ISBN 9781032794570) — a 184-page textbook covering the complete supersonic intake design chain from analytical methods through multi-objective optimisation.
Open-source tooling. Zerodynamix is the lead developer of FEST-3D, an open-source structured CFD solver published in the Journal of Open Source Software in 2020 and used by research groups worldwide.
